Lead Data Analyst, 2/3 days per week in the office , Birmingham , MSSQL Power BI Excel
One of Birmingham’s fastest growing technology companies have a new key role for 2023. Over the past couple of years they have grown due to the unique service they offer and are looking for another person to join their Data / Tech team
Duties & responsibilities
* Leading the data function, ensuring that other team members and others are in alignment and operating well.
* Building and enhancing both internal and client-facing reporting and dashboards throughout the business.
* Engaging with business stakeholders to ensure a steady flow and transformation of data in order to help drive business decisions.
* Researching queries surrounding produced data and troubleshooting discrepancies that may arise.
* Ensuring a high level of data quality throughout the business .
* Owning a set of KPIs, ensuring that all reports and dashboards use common measures, named and definitions.
* Aggregating data from a number of internal and external data sources to meet business requirements.
The ideal person will have
* 3+ years commercial experience using SQL (Ideally SQL Server)
* Experience with Microsoft Power BI
* Excellent mathematics skills
* Excellent client facing skills for internal and external customers
* Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel
* An ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
* Excellent attention to detail
Desirable skills, qualifications & experience
* Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Information Systems or similar.
