Lead Data Scientist

Looking for an experienced Data scientist to join a leading fintech company in London. The role is fully remote but would require occasional trips to the office for meetings etc.

As a Data Science Lead, you will work closely with the Business, Innovation, ICT and 3rd party teams to identify and create hypotheses as to how data models can make people’s lives better and/or improve business performance. You will lead on the planning, delivery and testing of data models and implement appropriate deployment technology whilst following Agile and DevOps methodology.

You will employ the tools and methods above to create predictive models, to prove or disprove hypotheses and then to deploy at scale when appropriate. You will automate analytical and predictive models and present events at scale for use in automated workflows, without human effort.

Essential experience:

*Bachelor’s degree or above in computer science, data science, mathematics, statistics or similar discipline.

*SQL, R and Python. (min. 3 years)

*Mastery of a visualisation tool (Power Bi is preferable)

*Experience of leading high-performing teams. Incl. line management of other data scientists

*Expert in Machine learning tools and methods

*Expert in algorithmic, statistical, and predictive techniques.
