Software Developer

Looking for an enthusiastic developer to join a software development team working for an innovative, industry leader in their sector, you will be using C# or VB.Net, aswell as T-SQL.

As part of the development team, you will work alongside business analysts and software testers collaborating on the design, implementation and maintenance of future proof, cutting-edge software.

Key Responsibilities:

* Propose and assess solutions to design problems.

* Develop software according to published standards and guidelines

* Support and maintain existing software functionality; to investigate, analyse and correct identified defects within established service level agreements.

* Consistently strive to improve your skills through learning new technologies relevant to your role

* Interpret written business requirements and technical specifications to estimates for change requests within the established service level agreements.

* Promote and advocate best practices within the development team

Essential Skills:

•Min. 3 years continual commercial experience developing Windows Forms applications in C# or VB.Net.

•Excellent up-to-date understanding of T-SQL, Microsoft SQL Server and relational database design.

•Ability to write and optimize T-SQL queries.

•Applicable knowledge of Object-Oriented programming practices and design patterns.

•Understanding the principles of unit testing. (Experience is desirable)

Desirable Skills:

•Financial Sector experience.

•Development experience in ASP.NET(Web Forms, MVC) / JavaScript frameworks / Web API.

•Degree 2:1 or higher in relevant field.
